This was a group project - other members of the group determined the functionality and the basic idea of shape. I did the design, styling and graphics.

Approach

The product is a portable room heater designed to be more aesthetically pleasing than normal heaters, which are often very ugly, without sacrificing functionality.

The grooved 'Y' shape provides a high surface area with a small footprint. The heater is designed to be usable in any room position, and the rounded edges are child friendly (I scarred my leg on a portable heater when I was about 5). Control is via a thermostat on the top, and a foot switch in each of the niches.

Grade: C (not all the other group members pulled their weight)
