Approach

Firstly studies of real animals were done, mainly bats, birds of prey and lizards. Other visualisations of dragons are often done with little understanding of anatomy, and it was important to me to get this right.

The model was made in five pieces, the body/head, each leg and each wing. Once fired these were pinned and glued together then the model was painted with acrylics.

Originally it had a stand, but that went missing some years ago.
